The actor, director and producer, Joe Manganiello, has made waves in the showbiz world in recent years through his starring roles in TV series True Blood, as well as films such as Magic Mike and the upcoming Sabotage, where he features alongside none other than Arnold Schwarzeneger.

His success on screen, however, can not be credited entirely to his acting ability. Joe's dedication to fitness has been a key factor in how he's achieved what he has, to date. Most notably because his physique has played a major role in the type of parts that he has been cast in.

The True Blood star has dedicated his time to healthy living and fitness, and there's no doubt that it shows.

But it wasn't always so rosy, as Manganiello faught a drink problem that, at its worst, contributed to him becoming homeless at one point in his life.

Fast forward to today, and Joe has been sober for 12 years and is currently in the best shape of his life at the ripe old age of 37, fair play to him.

But how can you get that ripped, you ask? Well Joe was born with a rare disorder that prevents him from being able to spell the word carbohydrate, the consequence being that he does not know the meaning of the word. The latter sentence being the most lame attempt at a joke you'll read all day, and is quite obviously untrue.

Manganiello attests his outstanding shape to an impeccable diet, a healthy lifestyle and, of course, plain old hard graft.

Last year Joe added another title beside his name, after he authored his first book 'Evolution: The Cutting Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You've Always Wanted' in which he addresses, as the long winded title would suggest, the ways in which he has achieved what he has in the area of health, fitness and wellness.

Have a wee look at the video below for all the visual evidence you'll need of this man's tip-top condition.

Jesus Christ, Joe, you'd put lads to shame with the big Greek God head and body on you.
