FIFA have today confirmed the start date for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and it's no surprise that it'll be a winter tournament.

To combat the problem associated with playing football in the sweltering heat of a Qatari summer, the tournament has made history by moving it's playing schedule to the milder months in winter.

The tournament will kick off on November 21st, and will be played out over just 28 days, four less than 2014's tournament.

The final is set to take place on on December 18th, Qatar National Day.
