Belgium might have been sent packing from the World Cup, but one of their supporters is still pretty happy after landing a modelling contract as a result of her trip to watch her team.  

Young Axelle Despiegelaere will be looking at the cost of her trip to support Belgium at the World Cup in Brazil as money well spent after she came home with a modelling contract for her troubles.

Axelle was a favourite of the camera people who were charged with getting reaction shots from the fans, and being quite photogenic, she ended up appearing fairly often on screen, in particular during the game against Russia, which was where she was noticed. Her fame spread quickly images of her were shared on wesbites and got plenty of traction on social media.

On the back of her new found notoriety, L'Oreal have decided to snap her up, offering her a professional modelling contract back home in Belgium, and she has already made her debut with them in this short video.

The 17-year-old told Belgian media that she ended up getting a lot of offers of marriage after she shot to fame, and ended up making her Twitter account private as a result. However, she's keeping her head on her shoulders according to The Huffington Post, as she has stated that she wants to concentrate on her studies, adding that this could all prove to be 'fleeting', and could yet come to nothing.
