And you don't even have to curse liberally, get your bits out, or generally be bored to death? You just have to be up on your general trivia - and have a mate who's willing to go on the box with you.

Weeeeellll, a production company from Lahndan (innit) have gotten in contact with us because they're looking for Irish participants for a new quiz show.... and they're vaulting themselves over to Dublin shortly to host auditions. Here be the official details:

"Sky Atlantic are on the hunt for confident and outgoing people to participate in their thrilling new game show. The game show will combine the pulse racing thrill of a quiz contest with the nostalgic delight of the nation’s  favourite television moments (of which we share many... with the exception of myself who endured the misfortune of growing up with Bog1 and Bog1). Sky needs pairs of passionate TV viewers who are willing to have their telly knowledge put to the test. Contestants must be television fanatics, who know everything from their Boardwalk Empire to their Big Brother. There is a life changing sum of money up for grabs for the pair who get crowned TV trivia champions. Applications are open to everyone that loves watching television. Interested teams should email: [email protected]. We will be coming to Dublin in the next few weeks to hold auditions."

A life changing sum of money, you say... for being a telly fanatic. I actually reall tempted. True, growing up with the two Bog channels might hold me back, but it might also work in my favour, for I have been addicted to telly since the year 1992. The year when we moved house and got a fuzzy aerial coverage of *fans self* HTV, S4C, and BBC1 and BBC2 Cymru Wales. True story. Upon flying the nest and managing to get basic cable, I never left the bedsit.
