Emma Watson’s own film The Colony may have flopped last weekend, but seeing J.K. Rowling’s penned play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child certainly has her in high spirits.

The actress saw the play on Wednesday. She called it ‘amazing’ and commented that ‘some things about the play were, I think, possibly even more beautiful than the films.’

She also got to meet Noma Dumezweni, who plays an older version of Hermione in the play, as well as other cast and crew members backstage.

The two met and it was so sweet. You can see the magical moment here:

The play is set 19 years after the ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Daniel Radcliffe previously said he didn’t want to see the new instalment of the series, but given he and Emma Watson are such close friends, maybe she’ll be able to talk him into it.
