Dublin pub 'MVP' have been warned by the HSE that they can no longer continue to welcome dogs in their establishment.

The pub, which is located on Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8, had previously been known as a venue that welcomed people's canine companions.

The HSE visited the bar and informed the owners that they would be prosecuted if they continued to allow dogs in their bar.

The owners are considering challenging the ruling as a number of their regulars like to bring their dogs with them to the pub but it is believed that this ruling is set to be part of a city wide clampdown.
