The 2015 Global Liveability Ranking has been published by the Economist Intelligence Unit, and it turns out Dublin is better than every city in Britain.
Not one British city made it into the top 50, but our nation's capital managed to scale up to 46 on the list.
It's worth noting that mid-sized cities with smaller populations tend to do better on this scale because they tend to offer more recreational activities, have lower crime rates, and have less pressure on their infrastructure and transport.
There are 30 factors taken into account when ranking the liveability of a city, most notably stability, infrastructure, education, healthcare and environment, and as it turns out we're not doing too bad for ourselves. Still we have some way to go to catch up with the lies of Melbourne, Australia, which has now claimed top spot for the fourth year running.
Canadian and Australian cities make up seven of the top 10, so as far as our emigration goes, it looks live we've been making all the right choices. Well done us.
