The large doughnut retail chain Krispy Kreme was forced to apologise recently after a rather inappropriate advertisement ran in one of their branches in the UK.

The poster appeared in a branch of the chain in Hull, and was advertising the activities that would be on in store during the mid-term break where kids would be off school. It was intended to make customers aware of their Krispy Kreme Klub this Wednseday, but when it was spelled out on the poster, it was shortened down to its initials, which as you can see don't look great when written out together.

Speaking to The Guardian, a representative for Krispy Kreme said that the company "apologises unreservedly for the inappropriate name of a customer promotion at one of our stores. This promotion was never intended to cause offence. All material has been withdrawn and an internal investigation is currently underway". A spokesperson for the Hull branch also told The Daily Mail that the posters had been sent out to other branches around the UK, but so far this is the only one to have been seen by the public.

In fairness, this has happened before to beloved children's entertainer Krusty the Clown at his unfortunately alliteratively titled Krusty Komedy Klassic...
