Jeeeez, when is Oprah going to get a break? She might be loaded and the most powerful person on TV/woman in America but that doesn't stop unfortunate happenings - such as the matrons in her African school turning out to be molesters… and the misguided championing of certain reading material. It turns out the author of a children's book she recommended on her website has been exposed as a white supremacist. Hardcore racist Forrest Carter wrote a lovely kiddies book 'The Education Of Little Tree' in which was as described as the story of an orphaned boy raised by his Cherokee grandparents, when it was first published in the '70s. It was the 1990s before the author, now dead, was recognised as a member of the KKK. Oprah has since thought it best to remove it from her website's recommended reading list.
