It's no secret that many mainstream celebrities, actors, musicians and artists want absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump.

In fact, many of them actively campaigned against Trump during the election - so it's no surprise that his team is having an increasingly difficult time trying to lock down someone to perform at his inauguration.

The latest on Trump's inauguration involves the famed Radio City Rockettes and a number of members of the dancing troupe refusing to perform at the event. In a now-deleted Instagram post, one Rockette dancer - Phoebe Pearl - said that she felt "embarrassed and disappointed" and that she was being forced by her employer to perform for Donald Trump.

"The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling. I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts."

Since then, Broadway writer and producer Amanda Duarte posted a Facebook status about the situation, claiming that "most of the Rockettes do not want to perform at the Inauguration." Duarte also claimed that AGVA - that's the American Guild of Variety Artists - said the Rockettes must either perform at the inauguration or lose their jobs.

Despite all this, Madison Square Garden issued a statement claiming that Rockettes have to "voluntarily sign up" to perform at an event and that "for the coming inauguration, we had more Rockettes request to participate than we have slots available."

Outside of the Radio City Rockettes, no A-list musician or actor is involved with the inauguration. A report by The Wrap claims that many artists are being offered their full fee - which is usually six to seven figure sums - to play at the Inauguration. Most artists play at the Inauguration for free and have done so for many years.

So far, the only people willing to perform for Trump's inauguration are Ted Nugent, Vince Neil from Motley Crue, America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho and Kid Rock.

Meanwhile, a major concert promoter is hoping to put on a rival event at the exact same time as Trump is elected, with many musicians eager to play at that event rather than Trump's. Mark Ross is apparently in the process of putting together the show, with Politco reporting that talent is "banging on our door" to be involved.
