Donald Trump's campaign to win the Republican nomination for president has already had a few hiccups, and he had yet another one last night.
Things went slightly wrong in his attempt to tweet out a patriotic image featuring Trump's head, the American flag, and a pile of money, because in case you forgot he's a rich guy who owns the best golf courses in the world and sells apartments to the Chinese for millions of dollars.
Anyway, he also decided that his image of all things American was missing one vital ingredient: some Nazi soldiers. Well, we can assume that he was looking for an image of American soldiers, but didn't quite do the due diligence in checking what uniforms they wore.

The mistake was spotted on Twitter by a couple of keen observers, and speaking toVice News, former professor at the US Army War College John Schindler pointed out that these were also SS soliders, who committed some of the worst war crimes, and can be identified by the eagle which can be clearly seen on the arm of the uniform.
Trump quickly deleted the tweet after the image had gone viral, and like most people in his situation, blamed an intern through a spokesperson, who told CNN than "a young intern created and posted the image and did not see the very faded figures within the flag of the stock photo".
