Air rage is not a good way to start the day.

According to The Irish Times, the singer was allegedly arrested for assaulting a female flight attendant on a flight from NYC JFK. Apparently said attendant is receiving hospital treatment for a "suspected" fractured foot... This was reportedly as a result of the 43-year-old singer "stamping" on her.

The Irishtimes.com reports: "Gardaí were alerted and when the the Limerick born singer was being arrested at Shannon airport it’s further alleged that she head butted and spat at the arresting officer. The male garda was not injured but an ambulance was called for the air hostess who is being treated at University Hospital Limerick."

An Aer Lingus spokesperson had this to say: "An incident took place on board flight EI 110 en route from New York to Shannon today, Monday 10th November. The matter is being investigated by An Garda Siochana. As this is a security matter we will not comment any further."

Seemingly things kicked off (pun partially intended) about 20 minutes before the red eye flight was due to land in Shannon. It's being reported that Dolores refused to take her seat when asked to do so. She as apparently travelling with an adult male, who wisely kept himself out of the situation.

O'Riordan is currently in Shannon Garda station, and can be held for the next 24 hours.
