Spoken Word Festival

The NYF Spoken Word Festival brings together the very best of Irish wit, poetry slam, literature, history, discussion and debate. A sparkling array of voices from across the country come together in a 2 day programme packed full of pop ups and events which will engage, stimulate and entertain. Dublin New Year Festival will take over cafes, bars, and restaurants and performance venues to bring this jam packed programme of spoken word events. They say the Irish have the gift of the gab; come experience the talent!

The Spoken Word Festival will showcase the very best from emerging talents in poetry and the spoken word, to some of the country’s best loved poets with a healthy helping of lively discussion and debate thrown in for good measure including Soundings: Holy Trinity with Dylan Haskins and Lisa Hannigan at City Assembly House, Food poetry with Tom McCarthy at Dublin Woolen Mills, Leviathan with David McWilliams at the Button Factory, Lingo: Poets v’s Rapper and NYF Dublin Poetry Slam.
