If you've seen 'Derry Girls' or its stars doing the TV chat show rounds over the last few months, you'll be aware that some of the actors aren't too far-removed from their characters.
For example, Nicola Coughlan aka Clare is clearly a woman who speaks her mind.
The Galway native was in fine fettle at last night's BAFTAs when she got wind of tabloid newspaper the Daily Mirror's opinion on her dress. The barbed commentary read "The Derry Girls have certainly made an impression on the red carpet, but it may have not been the one that wanted [sic]. Nicola Coughlan brought a welcome dash of colour to proceedings but her plain pink outfit was not the most flattering."
In true Derry Girl-style, Coughlan took to Twitter to make her feelings known in the best way possible:
Even Sr. Michael herself would be proud.
