After six years of marriage, which is a lifetime in Hollywoodian light years, 49-year-old Demi has filed for divorce from her 33-year-old 'Good Idea at The Time.' She also has a recently released film due to go statewide in America today... it's called Another Happy Day. What a coincidence.

Releasing a very dignified statement (I'd say "typically" but I've seen some of her photoshoots from the 80s… And Striptease) , she said: "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

Moore’s marriage to Kutcher, whom she wed in 2005, has been the subject of endless speculation in recent months following persistent rumours about the Two And A Half Men star’s "alleged" infidelity. Last month, 22-year-old Sara Leal claimed she bedded Kutcher on the eve of his sixth wedding anniversary. Leal told a UK newspaper (for a nominal fee) that she had romped with the 33-year-old actor for two hours at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California, in September. The day before their sixth wedding anniversary, Moore, who has three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with ex-husband Bruce Willis in case you've forgotten, posted a not-so-cryptic quote by philosopher Epictetus on her Twitter. It read: “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.”

Of the official split, Ashton has of course took to Twitter himself, you can read that heartfelt piece of prose here... "Love and sh*te" more like.
