Good news for all Back to the Future fans. DeLorean cars are set to go back into production.

For those not familiar with the Back to the Future trilogy, the DeLorean car was the vehicle Doc Brown used to build his time machine with.

DeLoreans were originally made by the DeLorean Motor Company in Northern Ireland. Around 9,000 cars were produced between 1981 and 1983 but only 6,500 of them are thought to still exist today.

In 1995 a man named Steven Wynne began selling refurbished DeLoreans in Texas.  He's using the DeLorean Motor Company name and just recently has been able to start producing new cars as well thanks to a change in the laws governing small scale car manufacturers.

The new models are expected to cost around US$100,000 (€91,933) - but the final price will depend on what engine the designers choose. Mr. Wynne has said he has no plans to change the appearance of the car and that he hopes to have the first car completed in early 2017.
