Picture the scene... candlelight, popcorn, countless couches to bounce on, and David in his horse cardie. It's a shame they don't happen anymore now that he's moved back to Blighty.

The 38-year-old hunk recently returned to England with his wife Victoria and their gaggle of children, but when he lived in Los Angeles he would go round to the Tom's house and chill out in front of the television. He said: "When we were living in LA, Tom cruise lived two minutes away. He's a good friend. There were occasions when I'd call him up and ask him if he had a new movie that wasn't out yet, and I'd go round and watch it with him." Wearing his horse cardie as a kimono.

In his interview with the Sunday Times magazine, he felt the urge to add: 'I've met the prime minister quite a few times. He's a really nice guy, but I'm not sure I could go and invite myself to Number 10 [Downing Street] in the same way. I love living back in London; it's where I was born. But, of course, I haven't lived here for a long time because I was only 15 when I moved up to Manchester."

So, why is David Beckham everywhere of late? It's not just because he's got H&M manties to sell. He's got an exciting announcement, which he is really excited about because it is exciting.

He told US TV show Extra: 'I've got an exciting announcement coming up next week which I'm really excited about... A little hint? It involves the MLS and my involvement in the game in America, it involves my ownership of a franchise, something I'm excited about.'
