It's been less than four months since TV personality Dale Winton passed away, but now the reason for his death has been revealed.

Although there was speculation that Winton, who was 62 when he died, had taken his own life, the coroner's report deems that this was not the case.

His agent told the Press Association "that the coroner investigating the death of Dale Winton has found death by natural causes’.

Previously, his friend Gloria Hunniford had told the panel on 'Loose Women': "The thing that has really upset me in the intervening time [since his funeral].... so many people say, “It’s a shame he committed suicide” - but he didn’t!

"I think it’s sad when people think he took his own life.

"What actually happened is, he had his assistant in the house. He said he wasn’t feeling great and went upstairs for a bath. She thought it was quiet so went up to check on him and found him sadly dead in bed."

Tributes poured in for the 'funny and kind' Winton upon the news of his passing in April.
