Around 317,400 people tuned in to watch Conor McGregor knock out Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 on 3e, showing once again that the UFC is becoming a massive sport over here.

There's no doubting that Conor McGregor is a huge draw, and the latest figures from 3e for their delayed coverage of his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 have proved that once again.

With over 317,000 people tuning in to watch his bout on the Irish channel (an average of 76,600), they were able to pull an impressive 7.7% of the available viewing population. According to Severe MMA, the figures were particularly strong for adults age 15-24 and men age 15-34, averaging a 17.45% share and 26.90% share respectively.

3e's UFC coverage looks set to continue on Monday Night Fights with action from Gunnar 'Gunni' Nelson (who is also coached by John Kavanagh and who trains some of the time here in Ireland) takes on Zak Cummings in his next fight at UFC Fight Night Stockholm to be shown on October 6th.
