Honestly, I give up. We had months of "Is she gong to be a judge on the US X Factor?!!!" thrown at us repeatedly every bleedin' day. And now she's gone, 'cause she's "home sick" (all of a sudden, 'cause she's never spent the past few years spending time in L.A.) Well, that's what media outlets are being fed this morning.
The Sun reports: "The Geordie beauty, 27, is homesick and it is thought her place will be taken by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. A senior show source said: 'It hasn't worked out. She's homesick and wants to return to the UK. She's had enough (after two whole weeks?). Whether she ends up back on UK X Factor is open to speculation'."
Oh, goody, more months of enforced speculation, the glue that keeps the Simon Cowell juggernaut aloft.
Here's what I think, that being the blatantly obvious: Nicole Scherzinger was always going to be waiting in the wings of the US show if it looked like the UK X Factor was going to go t*ts up. Cheryl was permitted to dip her toe in the water, got to meet a load of contacts, show everyone her accent isn't that bad, and just when everyone thought she was just super, she gets to swoop home to save the UK X Factor from the talons of a friggin' N Dub.
No doubt she'll pocket a load of xtra cash as well.
