Chris Evan just doesn't know when to stop talking. His career is now back on track; he is presenting one of the most listened to shows on BBC radio, and is taking over as the Friday night host of The One Show, so one would think that he would be watching his words. But now the ranger is in deep doo-doo after he joked about departing Adrian Chiles. According to the The Star, he was chatting with rugby stars Matt Dawson and Austin Healy on the breakfast show and the conversation turned to his former BBC colleague. Evans began telling the rugby stars that he could bag them screen tests to take over Chiles's position beside Christine on The One Show for the Monday to Thursday slots. But as the three men chuckled, Matt Dawson said that he would feel like a warm-up act for Evans and it wouldn't be his thing. In response Evans blurted "You are not the warm up act for me. That is what the other guy thought and look what happened to him". Oh dear, oh dear, that wasn't very nice now was it? Back in your box there Chris, no need for cocky comments.

A mole within the BBC announced the following to the tabloids "This will not go unnoticed and Chris will have to explain himself. He shouldn’t be seen criticising Adrian for leaving the BBC and shouldn’t give the impression he is extremely influential on a series he has not started on yet. It is hugely unprofessional, the kind of thing he used to do in his boozy days on Radio 1." A clip across the ear should do it.
