Cheryl's malaria troubles are really only beginning *sad face*. Since she collapsed on Saturday and was admitted to hospital on Sunday, Cheryl has been in a specialised unit that deals with tropical diseases. The latest news is that she could be out of action for up to six months. Eeek *gets brown paper bag*, that means she could miss the X Factor, which, to be fair, is one of the main reasons we watch the show. According to The Sun, 'a source' revealed; "It is a lot more serious that first thought. Everyone thought she would pull through after twenty four hours but, there have been no signs of improvement. She is very ill and will not be out of hospital for a while. Everyone is holding their breath (you'd want to, so not to catch the disease). She has not got the physical strength to beat it (shout out to all you young'uns wanting her skinny physic, it's actually more dangerous then you think, [see exhibit C]). It isn't pretty. There are fears that because she is so delicate, permanent damage has been done to her liver. She is going to need all her Geordie grit to win this battle (maybe throw in some food to help her along the way?)".

Now begins the mammoth task of rearranging her work schedule, for when she does eventually get better. Her management company will have to look into her upcoming album launch, which may be put on hold and also her impending V Festival appearance. Eh... me thinks she might not be there. Aw well, hopefully having the strapping Derek Hough and her ma at her bedside will speed up the recovery.

Speaking of the X Factor, Cheryl's co-judge has just given birth to a baby boy. Dannii Minogue and boyfriend Kris Smith are the proud parents of baby Ethan. The baby was born in Melbourne on Monday night, pretty much on schedule and the new parents are said to be only delighted - especially since there were complications. As is Kylie, who once said she would spoil the baby rotten. Is it fair to say that this will be one of the most beautiful children to come from a celeb couple? He has some great genes in him.
