The well known town of Hafnarfjörður near Reykjavík in Iceland was rocked by the news earlier this week that a cat with a penchant for arson is terrorising their village. Well, sort of.
According to the Iceland Review, the fire-obsessed feline was believed to have stepped on top of a stove, which caused empty pizza boxes to go up in flames, causing quite a stir. While the cat made the purr-fect getaway, the family noticed the accidental fire and were able to control it, with fire fighters arriving a short while afterwards to clear the house of any smoke.
No word yet on whether the cat will face charges or whether they'll just give it a slap on the wrist, but it's certainly a chilling tail that has given us paws for thought.
