In 2014 Bruno Mars broke the record for the most watched Superbowl halftime show ever, so the NFL could go out of their way to top that by...having him headline again.

OK, it might sound a bit ridiculous, and these are only rumours, but there's good reason for them. With Mars having broke the viewing record two years ago, it seems only fitting that he host the 50th Superbowl halftime show, and bring with him a medley of guests(potentially a number of high profile former headliners). We'd watch that, happily.

Mars, who was the youngest ever sole performer to headline the event, drew an audience of 115.3 million viewers at Superbowl XLVIII, but he faces plenty of competition for the upcoming show, with rumours also circulating around Britney Spears, as well as Taylor Swift.

We won't know for sure for another while, with most headliners usually being announced in late September/October, so until then let's just enjoy last year's Left Shark again.
