The pop star slams the journalist in a since-deleted instagram post, alluding to the interview she conducted with her when she was just 21 years old.
Britney Spears has blasted Diane Sawyer for the controversial interview she conducted with the young pop star 18 years ago, back in 2003.
Now that her conservatorship battle is over, the 40-year-old has not remained quiet online. Over the past number of months, Spears has not been afraid to call out people for their wrongdoings while she was under her father's rules for 13 years, nor has she held back when speaking about the people who did nothing to help her.
Her newest target is a journalist who made her break down and cry while posing intrusive questions when she was aged just 21.
Here's the full interview, should you need reminding.
Britney Spears conducted the interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC, following her break-up with Justin Timberlake. In her since-deleted post on her Instagram, Spears says that following this break-up, she lived in her apartment for a year "and never spoke to anyone". Spears says she was not ready to talk about it all on national television and calls out her manager and father for setting up the interview.
She writes: "I never spoke to anyone for a very long time ...I was in shock ... pretty lame of my dad and three men to show up at my door when I could hardly speak ... two days later they put Diane Sawyer in my living room ... they forced me to talk !!!"
She further highlights her innocence by saying she was a "baby" at the time. She also questions why it was necessary to ask if she had a shopping problem. She then speaks openly about a recent trip to an ATM to spend on chocolate, Christmas socks and white wine.
She continues: "I should spend a thousand dollars if I want every day of my life and she can kiss my white ass.
"I was a baby ...I was almost 22 and didn't understand ... but I f*cking know now [middle finger emoji]."

Sawyer was just one of the public figures who was referenced during the documentary 'Framing Britney Spears'. The New York Times creation included footage from the interview, including the moment she made the pop star cry by bringing up her break-up with Justin Timberlake and the whirlwind year she had due to all of the publicity.
The dissolution of the conservatorship this year means that Britney Spears is able to have access to her money for the first time in 13 years. She is now engaged to her fiance Sam Asghari and was able to celebrate her 40th birthday in style earlier this December.
