First of all, MUST stop typing British Sap Awards. It keeps happening for some reason. Very strange.

As has become customary, we are going to hand out our own awards for our own categories - because how else are you going to brighten up an otherwise drab Monday morning?

1) The 'Your Outfit Is Too Short' Award.
This one goes to Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), but she gets away with it given she's a teenager. Anyone else in this ensemble would not have been as lucky.

If you require further evidence of 'how short is too short', behold Nikki Sanderson of Hollyoaks hiking up her dress.

2) The 'Less is Definitely Not More' Award.
We're used to seeing chiffon skirts over minis at the moment, and Debbie Dingle off Emmerdale (Charley Webb) does pull it off with flair. Can't help feeling like it's all falling a little flat, however. Some additional accessories apart from the 'snore' ring would have been welcomed.

Unfortunately Lauren off EastEnders (Jacqueline Jossa) opted to go for sheer lunacy (apologies) by just employing a few feathers to cover her modesty. Definitely one for the smaller chested. I feel like I'm invading her privacy by looking at her.

3) The 'Matchy Matchy' Award.
We're not sure who to blame for this. Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) pulls off the sky blue number (almost), but Rhona's (Zoe Henry) nod to Jack and Vera's old wallpaper isn't doing it for us. On the upside, we really appreciate the change of hairstyle for the occasion - we're kind of over the 'Rhona Rehab hair' at this point.

Who could blame Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright for trying to have a Brad and Angelina moment. Dare we say it, but we'd prefer to see Michelle in a more revealing number.

In saying that, however, Ashley Robert's take on the lady tux is a bit too revealing...

4) The 'Wild-Eyed and Beautiful' Award.
Onscreen sisters Leyla and Alesha off Emmerdale (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi and Natalie Anderson) fall into this category, with the latter really going hell for leather on the wild-eyed part. Then again, she is a new mum, and therefore beside herself just to be out of the house.

5) The 'Who Knew You Were Smuggling That Rack' Award.
We always knew Moira off Emmerdale (Natalie J Robb) was particularly blessed in that department...

However, we had NO idea Sinead off Corrie (Katie McGlynn)was hiding these under her checked shirts.

As for whether Katie is tee-total like her onscreen character, this photo from the morning after clears up that burning question...

6) The 'Well Played' Award.
There are plenty of folk who conform to the red carpet norm of 'plunging neckline, fake tan and coiffed hair', and then there are those who dance to their own tune. Hats off to Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley off Corrie) and Lorna Fitzgerald (Abi off EastEnders).

7) The 'Better Look Next Year' Award.
Seriously, Ms Metcalfe, we want a better look next year. A bra would be a bonus for starters.
