Black & white. Shifting lighting. Intense short statements that actually mean nothing. Yes, this is a perfume ad in all its clichéd glory.

Brad Pitt is fronting the latest campaign for Chanel No. 5, which is a big deal apparently as it's the first time a man has fronted the perfume brand in its history. Below you can see Brad doing his best Shakespearean dramatic reading of the most blabbering mess of words to have come out of his mouth since The Devil's Own. 'Said Brad' in a statement "The beauty of its success for all these years is both elegantly simple and complex at the same time. That's what I see being the appeal of this campaign; it goes beyond the abstract of emotion or beauty to evoke what is timeless, a woman's spirit ." Of course that's what appealed to you Brad, I'm sure it had nothing to do with the reported $7 million you got for it. It must be nice to be able to roll up to a gig all scruffy and take home $7 million, but I suppose with all the sprogs he and Jolie keep popping out, one has to keep the money rolling in somehow.
