If you want to discover who comes out on top in a battle of the sexes, then your first port of call should most definitely be a survey carried out for sauce brand firm Frank's Red Hot. Really, it's totally scientific...

The company is setting up some pop up men's skill schools in London and Manchester y'see, so they figured it would be a fantastic idea to find out what 'skillz' the lads felt they did or didn't have. The results, as you can imagine, where somewhat predictable, but occasionally surprising.

36% of the men surveyed said they lacked cooking skills, 38% outed themselves as God awful dancers, and almost in in four lads said they thought they were hopeless when it came to public speaking. Meanwhile, 35% claimed that they were actually no use at the old DIY, and 21% said they hadn't a hope on the sports field. And of course, when it came to the big things, like remembering birthdays or buying gifts, 1 in 3 lads said they'd turn to their female counterparts for assistance. Sure we won't even go there with what they had to say about the household chores...

However, there were a few things that the boys thought they were better at. For instance, if you need an insect killed, a car tyre changed, a shelf put up, or some spicy food needs to be eaten then they'll have absolutely no bother taking charge. Even the girls agreed on that one.

"Our research shows many men are lacking in skills which women seem to have grasped. In fact, time seems to have stood still for many men when it comes to skills like ironing, shopping, multitasking and keeping up with fashion" a spokesperson for Frank's Red Hot said. "We hope this research is a rude awakening to those millions of men who still rely on their partners for a variety of skills round the home."
