No your eyes are not deceiving you, this is another Big Brother story BUT, I bringeth good news dear people. Big Brother will soon be over....for good, Mwahahaha. According to The Guardian, and I believe them, the announcement will be made officially today when Channel 4 announce their Autumn schedule. But, this is the bad news. We will still have to endure another blast of Celebrity Big Brother and one Big Brother 11 next summer (contractual obligations)
It appears that this year's series has only had around 2 million viewers, there's a shock, compared to Big Bro 2 in 2002 where there were approximately 18 million. Note that series had Jade Goody, Kate Lawler and other housemates who were sound, funny, entertaining and got good careers afterwards.
Tim Hincks, from Endemol who first introduced us to reality TV, said that there could be a chance another TV station will pick up the show and said "The long-term health of Big Brother is strong. I really believe that. It's a famous brand, the format works, that's obvious". That could be a sign of someone becoming delirious, should have known you were on a good thing and let it go a few years ago. Then in 10 years time, Big Bro could have been reinvented like Boyzone and have a better career than before.
For those of you who would like to go back in time to when it was cool to be a Big Brother fan, here is a little treat for you, *cue soppy music*
