The woman claiming Justin Bieber has fathered her baby has dropped her paternity lawsuit against him has come to her senses / had enough death threats from rabid Beliebers.

20-year-old Mariah Yeater had claimed the Baby singer was the father of her four-month-old son Tristan after claiming they had sex in October 2010 (she said it was an aggressive 30 second rut backstage at a concert, so it did sound believable) but Bieber, 17, had strenuously denied the allegations - on award shows and everything.

According to TMZ, the paternity suit was recently dismissed while her lawyers Lance Rogers and Matt Pare have also quit the case. Wonder who's going to pick up the tab on that one...

Bieber was planning to take a DNA test and had said he would sue Yeater for making the claim. He'd said during a recent TV appearance: "Never met the woman. I'd just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true. I know that I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim. It's crazy. Every night after the show I'm gone right from the stage right to the car, so it's crazy that some people want to make such false allegations. To set the record straight, none of it is true."
