Oh, super. Ugly Betty is about to become even more irksome. How can this be? Well, they've decided to have a musical episode in which the entire cast sing and dance for an hour. Basically it's lazy scriptwriting - the only way of enabling characters to reveal their true feelings is through the medium of song, hence less work for scriptwriters. One person who's not straddling the moon over this is Ashley Jensen (Scottish bird, doing well in America after Extras), who seems to be worried about sharing a scene with singer Vanessa Williams; "Most people have got a wee voice inside them. It might not be Vanessa Williams' standard. But I think what will be part of the charm is that it will be the characters singing..." Yeah, how novel, that's never been done before, *coughs* BUFFY.
