Conspiracy theorists love to go off on one about Barack Obama and some of it, believe it or not, have made its way onto reputable news sources like CNN and eh... Fox.

There's literally been dozens of conspiracy theories attributed President Obama, including the old "He's actually a lizard person" and ObamaCare being a precusor to New World Order registrations and so on.

In a recent interview, President Obama was asked what his favourite conspiracy theory was and, believe it or not, he had answer.

"That military exercises we were doing in Texas were designed to begin martial law so that I could usurp the Constitution and stay in power longer. Anybody who thinks I could get away with telling Michelle I’m going to be president any longer than eight years does not know my wife."

The conspiracy theory he's referring to is Jade Helm 15, which we actually wrote about a while ago. Long story short, there was a number of military exercises taking place in Texas and other states that nutjobs theorists believed was being used as a charade to institute martial law. It also had something to do with asteroids.

Yeah.

The hysteria surrounding it became so huge that local politicians in Texas actually weighed in on the subject, with Texas' governor, Greg Abbott, ordered the National Guard to monitor the the operation, saying that it was "important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed."

Mad stuff, really. Unsurprisingly, the military exercises passed off without incident, no asteroid hit Texas and, as far as we know, martial law wasn't introduced and President Obama was not revealed to be an alien lizard king.

THAT WE KNOW OF.
