After getting married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley in July 2006 (and splitting three years later), Avril thinks it's time to get herself hitched again - and it's not to Brody Jenner. They broke up last January.
She's only been dating her current fiancé - Nickelback's Chad Kroeger - for six months, hence why she agreed to marry the 37-year-old singer. She had previously dated Jenner for two years so all hormone based urges had long since dissipated.
Of Chad and Avril's union, a People magazine source said: "A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together (yaaaay…). He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited."
Though the Skater Boi squawker has not commented directly on the news, or the reported 14-carat diamond ring Chad gave her, she has retweeted comments of congratulations from fans and replied with a simple "thanks".
That's one thing that could be said for Lindsay Lohan. She may have taken the mick out of several courts with her countless charges of stealing, DUI, battery and so on, but she's managed to refrain from notching up several marriages before she hits 30. Then again, there's still time. It's easy to forget she's only 26.
