As reasons go it's a pretty solid one in fairness.

The 22 Dublin Bus drivers who won the €23.8m Euromillions jackpot on Friday didn't show up for work on Monday because they were still coming to terms with their huge win. Gareth Quinn, the Area Manager for Dublin Bus confirmed to The Sun that all 22 of the Dublin Bus employees that were involved in the Euromillions winning syndicate were not in work in the Broadstone Depot in Phibsborough yesterday.

The 21 senior bus drivers and 1 inspector were given the day off.

Mr Quinn said: "None of them were at work this morning and we've got no problem with that."

Another employee who wished to remain nameless said that: "None of them are here today, they won't be back in until later in the week. I certainly wouldn't be here if I'd won a million quid."

It's nice to see that the bus drivers' colleagues are taking their win well. We can't say we'd feel the same way if it were to happen in our own workplace.
