You better get used to seeing dodgy taches on every street in the coming weeks as Movember is on its way once again. The annual event that helps raise awareness and funds for men's health begins officially on the 1st of November but you can begin your preparations today.
Grow a practice tache, buy a brand spanking new moustache comb, get ready to speak like Ron Swanson, whatever you need to do, and join the 17,250 people who raised over €2.1 million last year in Ireland alone.
This is the sixth year of Movember in Ireland and the event seems to be gaining popularity by the year. Celebrities taking part this year include Irish Rugby international Cian Healy, MMA fighters Cathal Pendred and Chris Fields, and Coronas frontman Danny O'Reilly who had this to say, "It's great to be part of Generation Mo. Who wouldn’t want to be part of something where men's health takes centre stage for an entire month?"
All the money raised in Ireland goes to the Irish Cancer society and the Movember Foundation's global research initiative GAP. To get involved in the facial hair growing bonanza simply log on to movember.com, make sure to start November 1st like a clean shaven baby boy and then finish up looking like this guy, or as close as you can get.
