Thanks to reruns of Seinfeld on TV, Jerry Seinfeld has ended up top of the actors’ rich list.

There’s no doubting that Seinfeld is an absolute classic when it comes to TV shows, and the fact that it really hasn’t been off the air since the show finished up back in 1998 is testament to that.

That continuity has helped it become one of the highest grossing television shows ever, with The Financial Times estimating that it has earned nearly $3.1 billion since it finished. In the latest round of negotiations for reruns, co-creator and star Jerry himself looks set to pocket a pretty tasty wedge of cash, bringing his personal fortune to around $820 million (€600 million), which is good going, according to Singapore-based website Wealth-X, a site that specialises in keeping track of the wealth of the richest people in the world.

As Mashable point out, he could still make even more money because the show hasn’t been made available to either Netflix or iTunes, and he would definitely be in line for another huge addition to his fortune were they to negotiate a deal for the show.

The rest of the top five is rounded out by Shah Rukh Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, along with Tom Cruise ($480 million), Tyler Perry ($450 million) and Johnny Depp ($450 million), while the entire list accounts for a whopping total of $4.68 billion in personal wealth.
