A number of people wandered up the red carpet before last night's awards (as they were hosted in LA, they have the luxury of wandering - it's never below 20 degrees. Bastids). Among them were Mike from Desperate Housewives, and Willow with her husband Wesley Wyndam-Pryce; Carrie Underwood turned up in a sleek pastel number, before she was attacked by an overly-zealous black widow; I think Dharma is pregnant. That or it's a large growth; Kelly Rutherford thought "Ah, screw it, I'll never get to wear this at The Oscars"; Christian Slater brought his Here's Johnny eyebrows as a date; someone called Hayley Williams came as an Old Oak Tree (Ok, they're not technically yellow, but there's little else to work with); someone calledKatie Cassidy let a class of senior infants assemble her dress; while the Unfortunate Pose of The Night went to Demi Lovato. Olivia Wilde's dress was nice to look at, which was nice break from Cloris Leachman making me cry. And just when you thought it couldn't get worse...

Later, in the pressroom,Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds kept up the pretence of their "chemistry"; Chevy Chase snuck in to be photographed at an event for the first time in over a decade; Ashton Kutcher shouted his head off and Tweeted at the same time; Diane Kruger (channeling Chloe Sevigny at times) got sandwiched; and that lot from The Big Bang Theory were gracious in winning. Do note that Sheldon is the most normal looking in real life. Oh, the irony.
