Who'd have thunk it eh? The country that probably contains the most Beliebers in the world and contributed most to his rise to fame is the same one that hates him. Maybe it's because he's actually Canadian and not American.
According to a new music-oriented poll from Public Policy Polling in the US, most people are fans of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Adele and Justin Timberlake with over 50% of people polled saying they felt favourably about them, while Bieber, Chris Brown and Lady Gaga all had people turning the radio down with negative responses over 50% and with as little as 13% showing support for them.
Meanwhile, everyone was showing ambivalence towards Jay-Z and Rihanna, while no one really cared about Skrillex. As they should.
The most interesting thing about the poll, apart from the Bieber hatred, is the fact that out of Adele, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga or Rihanna, 34% would want Timberlake to be president. Please God let no one put that idea in his head. President Timberlake has an awful ring to it. Those polled also thought that Trousersnake should continue spending the majority of his time making music (40%), rather than acting (22%), reuniting 'N Sync (7%) or playing golf (31%). We didn't realise golf was that high on his agenda.
Other tidbits? 67% think that Chris Brown and Rihanna should never, ever, ever get back together (and 8% are complete idiots who think they should) and 56% of people think Snoop should go back to being called Snoop Dogg because Snoop Lion is stupid.
