The Lea Michele controversy continues, following her 'Glee' co-star Amber Riley giving her two cents on the issue at hand.

Earlier this week, actress Lea Michele was called out for making the life of her co-star Samantha Ware on the set of 'Glee' "a living hell". Ware's stance on the issue has opened up the floodgates, and other stars from the series have voiced their opinions on Michele's alleged diva-like nature while on set. Amber Riley, who played Mercedes Jones in the musical TV series, has decided to not become involved in the drama, saying that there are more important things to worry about.

In an interview recently with journalist Danielle Young, Riley spoke of the controversy surrounding her former co-star, saying she wasn't "going to say that Lea Michele is racist." She continued: "I don't give a sh*t. People are out here dying, being murdered by police."

However, she did agree that the set of 'Glee' was "not the most comfortable environment" to work in.

She also said of how proud she is of Ware for speaking her mind, saying: "I'm very proud of her for standing up for herself. I am proud of her not being fearful for speaking her truth. [Her] feeling was, 'I am not going to allow you to jump on what is happening now when you didn’t treat me right.'"

The Lea Michele controversy began earlier this week when actress Samantha Marie Ware accused Michele of making her time on 'Glee' a "living hell". Michele had tweeted that George Floyd "did not deserve this" in support of the Black Liver Matter movement, which caused Ware to send out her tweet.

Following the tweet, 'Glee' alums Heather Morris and Alex Newell have also spoken out in a similar fashion.

Michele released a statement in response of the backlash, saying: "Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behavior and for any pain which I have caused."
