A statement released to RTE News just moments ago from the Department of Education has confirmed that all colleges and schools, both primary and secondary, are to close tomorrow in preparation for Hurricane Ophelia.

As well as this, Met Eireann has upgraded its weather warning to from orange to red across the entire country. Met Eireann has also said there is potential risk to lives.
