That Jennifer Aniston is in London promoting her perfume, while Angelina Jolie is there promoting an actual film... That Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz will both be stars in a reasonably priced car on this Sunday's Top Gear: "We've had some big names tearing around in our reasonably priced car, but Tom has to be up there as the biggest. And the amazing thing is his people contacted us. Tom and Cameron are over in Britain for the premiere of their new movie Knight and Day (plug, plug, plug). Tom knew we were filming so asked if he could give the old Kia a whirl. Cameron was up for it too so we're getting two A-list stars for one show. Jeremy Clarkson and the boys (seriously?) couldn't be happier"... That booze has been banned from Take That's next tour: "The boys (seriously? Part II) have had time together over the last week working on the new video. They have had a chance to sit down and discuss plans for next year. It's a sensitive subject but booze will be off limits for the band and the crew. The Circus Tour was one giant party and, for Mark and Robbie's sake, that just won't work this time round"... That Gary Barlow now wants to hike to the North Pole: "Gary loves a challenge, so as soon as he finished the Kilimanjaro trip he was working out what to do next. There was talk of climbing Everest but that's a seriously tough exercise. Getting to the North Pole is not exactly easier but it is more do-able and takes less time"... That Cheryl Tweedy Cole has upped her home security, 'cause she's worth it: "Cheryl has made a few changes at home. She is spending more time there than ever while she recuperates. She hasn't received any threats but thought it wise to update all the precautions. She believes a more secure domestic situation will help her return to full strength sooner"... That Amy Winehouse was reduced to tears when watching a live stream of Lindsay Lohan going to jail: "(a presumably hungover) Amy was really tearful watching the drama unfold. It hit home hard that she easily could have ended up behind bars like Lindsay. After she hit a fan for the second time, Amy was only a judge's decision away from going to the slammer herself. She now realises how out of control she was. She was pretty emotional as she told her dad how grateful she was for his (not at all self-serving) love and thanked him for helping her get back on the straight and narrow"... That court artist Mona Shafer Edwards said: "When I did Britney Spears, when she was at her worst, I really just wanted to take her home and take care of her. I've got a daughter the same age. It just made me sad that the parents aren't around. The same thing with Lohan. I thought that her mother was more caring about how she looked and the father was looking around like who he could get interviews with"... That Michael Lohan's most recent ex-fiance, Kate Major, has gone to police claiming he assaulted her... TMZ reports: "We're told Kate Major claims ... on Monday at around 2 PM, just before Michael flew to L.A. for Lindsay Lohan's hearing, they began arguing and Michael allegedly shoved her over a chair, injuring her shoulder. Sources say Major claims while she was on the ground Michael kicked her in the face. Major claims she went to the hospital and has pictures of her injuries. We contacted Michael, who told TMZ he got in an argument with Kate on Monday over their upcoming TV show, but he didn't touch her and she's making it all up"... That Mel Gibson doesn't just enjoy swatting women: "It happened at a party last year in Costa Rica. Sources connected to the case say Oksana's 12-year-old son (with Timothy Dalton), Alexander was playfully jumping up and down, trying to knock a cigarette out of Mel’s mouth. Oksana claims Mel exploded by grabbing the boy and throwing him violently onto a table. The issue came up during the mediation in May, when Mel and Oksana were trying to work out a custody arrangement and a financial package. Sources say Oksana's people informed Mel's lawyers of the incident. Mel's lawyers investigated and came right back, claiming there were "numerous adults and children" who saw the incident and saw it very differently"... That Mel Gibson has been getting therapy off Britney Spears: "The Toxic singer, 28, has been telling pals that Mel, 54, has been pouring his heart out to her - confiding that he fears for his sanity and is convinced he’s destroyed his once-hot career. 'Mel has been talking to her a lot,' a friend of the singer's tells In Touch. 'They speak on the phone all the time, usually late at night.' Britney's may seem like an unlikely shoulder for the Braveheart star to cry on, but the pop star's pal says she is simply returning the favor to the actor, who went out of his way to help her when she went through her own breakdown. 'Mel was one of the only people who reached out to help Britney when she was at her lowest point, and she believes that demonstrates what a loving and wonderful man he is. She wants people to give him a second chance - just like he gave her one when everyone else turned away'". That he hasn't been asking for hair tips... That Christina Applegate is the way of the Damian... That Paul Gascoigne is going to rehab, again: "It's not a social thing. I enjoy myself more when I'm sober. My hope is to complete the 12-week programme but I'll stay as long as it takes to be the person I want to be (i.e. not the type of person who turns up to police stand offs with "a can of lager, some chicken, a mobile phone and something to keep warm"). I've got deals ready to be on the table for when I get well and I want to write a new book"... Of course he does... No, really, he does... That's the scary thing...
