Let's face it, a lot of us have faced bad college breakups. Aisling Bea, however, surely tops all of that with her story she told on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week.

The Kildare native appeared as a guest on the show this week to promote her new Christmas movie 'Home Sweet Home Alone', which also stars Rob Delaney and Ellie Kempner.

When she sat down on the couch, alongside Chloe Grace Moretz, she was initially quite shocked that she had managed to get on the couch beside Clarkson.

"I feel like a competition winner. I've been the biggest fan and I feel like I've manipulated an acting career and a BAFTA, just so I could get close to you."

Bea then went on to tell a story of when she found out her boyfriend had gotten back with his ex after ghosting her for a week.

"I had a memory resurface recently as a sort of 'oh God, please never let this make the press!' So I feel like I'm getting ahead of it."

She said that she handled the news well initially, accepting the fact he was in love. But she then proceeded to make him to "sit down and watch me mime to 'Because of You'. I wanted him to understand the legacy of distrust this will have on me down the line."

"My instinct was that this will be a bit funny, but I'll also look beautiful. I had my hairdryer plugged in and I pointed it at myself."

Clarkson replied, "it says a lot about you that you didn't go to 'Since You've Been Gone', you went to 'Because of You'".

She added, "All I'm saying is he missed out. How do you see this happen and go never-mind I'm in."

Luckily for us, we also got a full re-enactment of the scenario from Aisling Bea herself, on her Twitter page. Have a look below at the beautiful rendition:
