"Luckily the hotel had this free dress! Just lying in the bathroom."

Aisling Bea took to her latest late-night chat show appearance in the US dressed in a dressing gown and slippers - and 100% sold the garment, making us wish more famous people would do the same thing every now and again.

It doesn't seem like it was planned (although who knows with the Kildare comic), as the jet-setter had flown into Hollywood - minus her suitcase. Yes, the airline had lost her luggage, and she's been travelling for 22 hours, so the thought of having to buy a new outfit for the show didn't seem all that appealing to the star. Which, fair enough, we'd be feeling the exact same.

Speaking with 'Will & Grace' star Sean Hayes, who is taking over hosting duties this week as Jimmy Kimmel takes a well-earned vacation with his family, she relays her travelling debacle while also delivering a "serious" piece to camera, asking for her luggage to return safely.

Aisling Bea in all her dressing gown glory is appearing on the chat show to promote her BAFTA-winning dramedy 'This Way Up', which is available to stream in the US via Hulu (over here, it's on Channel 4). Asked about how she came up with the title for the series, Bea relays a story about how the name came about while she was living alone in New York City over Christmas.

Here's the interview, where Aisling also hilariously calls her 'Living With Yourself' co-star Paul Rudd a "child actor".

Bea will next star in a comedy called 'Swede Caroline', a mockumentary film about the competitive vegetable growing circuit.
