Yeah, upon reading the same headline, I initially thought: "Finally - some news. It's not nice news, but news nonetheless, unlike anything else that's been knocking about the hinterweb for the last week or so?! Bill Murray has been "arrested for assault"! It's almost as mental as the time he got pulled over for driving a golf buggy drunk on a main street!

Then I read on. A police rep speaking to Digital Spy said: "We can confirm a 69-year-old man from London was arrested in Chigwell in the early hours of April 7. He has been charged with two counts of common assault. He will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on May 6."

Then the realisation... Bill Murray in Chigwell? Upon reading further: "Former EastEnders star Billy Murray has reportedly been arrested for common assault."

Ah, BillY Murray. That would explain why Digital Spy were the only outlet reporting this news... and they don't have any images beside the headline, which can be confusing.

"The 69-year-old actor was charged with hitting his wife and daughter 'during a boozy late-night family row'"... Oh dear. That's just really horrible. I wished that on Bill Murray just for news.

For those of you still struggling to place him, Billy Murray played gangster Johnny Allen in EastEnders between 2005 and 2006. Ruby's dad. Still nothing? Fair enough. As you were.
