And when we say cuddle, we mean...well cuddle, just like we said, you bloody perverts.

Samantha Hess is now a professional cuddler after she opened up her own cuddle-based business in Portland, Oregon earlier this month. While that might seem like a bit of a strange idea, she's laughing all the way to the bank after her first week in business proved to be a hit.

Speaking to Fox 12, her local station, she said "This business has taken off, I've gotten as many as 10,000 emails in a week", which isn't bad going considering the market for free hugs out there at 3am on a Saturday night.

The business is called Cuddle Up To Me (it's proving so popular that the website crashed) and an hour-long cuddling session will set you back about $60 (€47), which includes spooning, hair stroking and hand holding, as well all types of cuddles.

Hess claims that the business is definitely not adult-oriented (if you catch our drift) and rather it's about giving people "the level of human contact that we want or need in order to be our optimal selves". According to The Independent, she got the idea when she was at a particularly low point in her life: "I was at a place where I thought paying someone to hug me and not have ulterior motives sounded like a great idea, I decided why can't this be a thing that we can easily and safely reach for?"

As a safety measure, all sessions are recorded, and previous clients (she used to go to other people's homes to cuddle) are more than happy: "our cuddle time gave me a different outlook on life. I had no idea what I was missing. I am a big fan now and look forward to our next session. She is encouraging, kind and sincere."
