Everybody loves free beer, right?

But would you be willing to drink it out of a public fountain? Zalec, a town in rural Slovenia, is planning on building Europe's first public beer fountain that'll dispense 10 ounces of beer into a specially-made mug that you can, well, drink.

The fountain, which will cost the local town council approximately €353,000, will have a variety of beers made in the local region made from its particular variety of hops. The plan is for the fountain to become a tourist attraction, however opponents of the fountain say that the money raised could spent on better projects - such as clean water.

However, Zalec's mayor, Janko Kos, admitted that the project wouldn't be cheap, but it's "a development project, a tourism product," and will be partially funded by public donations and corporate sponsorships.
