According to TMZ, the singer has been committed to UCLA Medical Centre under the 5150 hold - that she is a danger to herself and others. Her psychiatrist orchestrated the hospital move after learning Britney hasn't slept since Saturday and was last seen "driving aimlessly around Los Angeles all night in her new car." According to sources, "At one point she stopped inexplicably in the middle of a canyon road, clambered from the Mercedes and confessed to the waiting photographers she was dizzy, afraid and wanted to go home." The psychiatrist contacted police who "used code to minimize craziness in transporting Britney to the hospital. Over the police radio, she was referred to as 'The Package'." TMZ continues: "Back at her house, Britney's psychiatrist told her she was going to the hospital. Her response was, 'Is something wrong?' She was not resistant. She made hot chocolate and waited before paramedics arrived and placed her on a gurney." Her father Jamie is present at the hospital, avoiding questions regarding his daughter. TMZ said "Jamie was exceptionally polite as he asked to not be bothered." Britney's mother Lynne was accompanied by Adnan Ghalib as they drove to the hospital. Lynne recently said: "Britney's on my mind day and night. She never leaves my thoughts. I love Britney dearly. I want nothing more than to protect her and make everything all right for her. And JamieLynn's my baby. I'm doing my best. I'm doing as well as can be expected." Doctors at UCLA are reportedly working with Sam Lufti regarding the best way to deal with Britney, not her parents - "after Britney's stay at Cedars earlier this month, she had her lawyers draft paperwork making it clear she did not want her parents involved in making medical decisions on her behalf."
