In other Belarusian news, a law has been passed prohibiting any fun being had whatsoever.

By now, you've definitely heard about the Ice Bucket Challenge, and it seems that the whole world has been hit by the viral craze. Belarus is no exception of course, and young Dmitry Dayneko was recently nominated by one of his friends.

He uploaded his video showing himself completing the challenge, and decided that he would nominate...the President, Alexander Lukashenko. Neither Lukashenko nor the local authorities are amused by this, however.

According to the BBC, he was called in to the local youth affairs office and his school in Berezino and told off, while the police informed him that if he didn't take the video down, then everyone seen in it would be hit with a fine.

Dmitry said he wasn't given much detail but simply told that he'd done "something against Lukashenko". He prefers to see it for the lighthearted bit of fun that it was, however: "It was just a stunt. It's just a game. We just wanted to start things off, to see what happens, maybe we'd be lucky".

His luck hasn't been great, as he might also get "a call from the capital", which is never good news, while his parents said that he was "stupid" for mentioning the President at all. Anyway, we await Lukashenko's video any time now...
