Something wicked this way comes.

According to scientists, some space junk is headed for earth's atmosphere and is due to crash land tonight, Friday the 13th. Unlucky for some.

The junk, named "WT1190F" has supposedly been in orbit since around 2009 but was only first spotted by scientists two years ago. Tonight or early Saturday, it will enter earth's atmosphere and light up the sky over the Indian Ocean.

Only residents of Sri Lanka will be able to see the event in person but the good people over at online observatory, Slooh, will be livestreaming it.

WT1190F supposedly doesn't pose a threat but just to be safe, officials have issued no fly zones and fishing bans near the point of re-entry.
