98FM’s "Best of Dublin" awards are returning for their second year.

Already a week into the voting stage, with over 300,000 votes already made, the only awards that let you vote for your favourite people, places and things from around the city are back.

Forget about best bands, actors, films, and all that, this is your chance to vote for what really matters to you, the things that make Dublin such a great city. It gives you the chance to give a little something back to the buskers who keep Grafton Street lively, the beer garden you spend your summers in, the chipper that still serves you at 4AM on a Wednesday, or the gym that lets you run off those chips the next morning.

The awards are all about  giving some recognition to the buskers, barmen, bus drivers, butchers and businesses that make the city what it is.

For a full look at the categories head over to here, so you can start deciding on who your votes are going to go to.

The winners of awards, which are in association with Costcutter and supported by The Herald, will be announced on the 27th of May at an awards ceremony hosted by Adrian Kennedy, who presented last year’s award night as well.

You can have your say by heading over to the nominations page here. But hurry, there’s still time to pick your favourite nominees, but voting closes this Friday at midday, so get on it now.
